Free government grants for day care center is an interesting aspect to look at and realize that there is more to it.
Everyone can remember section 8 housing or the projects and no one will ever admit to being the reason why it failed. It failed and miserably, so badly that they had to tear down many of the projects and alter the system to something completely different.
The projects created slums, drugs, prostitution and more due to the effect of the government just giving free housing without limits, restrictions and goals for the tenants to set.
With free government grants for day care center, it is creating a similar effect but not with drugs and prostitution.
It is causing for overburdened preschools, unqualified schools, and scams to take advantage of this government money.
It makes sense in an economic point to overload your schools with children to lower costs per teacher, yet you loose quality.
With infants and young children, they loose quality of life, this can be easily seen with foster children. The lack of attention and proper care leads them to despair or whatever other mental stresses you can imagine.
They are suffering from malnutrition, bullied, left alone, unattended and left to wonder what they should do since they are without proper guidance.
The government tries to do something right and then people take advantage or think with their wallet book and not about the future.
Something must be done to cap limits, require some minimal credentials, and proper facilities.
If we continue dumping our children in these preschools and do not regulate them we will be doing far greater damage than we can imagine.
It is already bad enough that we don't raise our children, it is worse when we leave them in danger.
